Initially, before replenishing the LocalTrade balance, we strongly recommend using two-factor authentication to ensure the high security of your account and protect it from the fraudsters’ impact.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is kind of an extra protection level that requires you to enter not only a login and password but also a one-time password that is sent to the e-mail or a special Google app – Google Authenticator. Talking about this case, you will need to enter the codes both from e-mail and the app.
The instruction on how to connect 2FA on LocalTrade:
- First things first, you must download the Google Authenticator app to your smartphone. To do that, go to your app store, depending on the operating system that your phone runs: AppStore (link), Google Play (link).
- After that, you need to return to the LocalTrade personal account and choose the section called ‘Security’. Copy the symbols that are in the ‘Code’ field.
- Next thing to do is open the app by clicking +-, enter the adjustment key (you need to paste the code you have copied from the exchange).
- After you have completed these actions, there must be a one-time password in the app. However, mind the fact that the password is valid within 30 seconds only. You need to copy this code and paste it into the 2FA code field at the exchange.
Thus, every time you access the account or withdraw funds, you will be asked to enter the code from the app.
